Dynavox is a German accessory brand for turntables: stabilisers, clamps, brushes, sleeves, stands and frames – the small things that make everyday life with vinyl easier.

The brand deliberately plays in the entry-level segment, and that's not a flaw, it's the point: you can try out what your turntable actually needs without tying up a fortune right away. Honestly speaking – most sound problems with vinyl don't come from missing high-end accessories, but from a dusty record.

What you choose by here

• Weight or clamp – a stabiliser calms slightly warped records, a clamp fixes without adding extra load. What fits depends on the platter bearing: suspended subchassis decks prefer clamps, solid decks can take weight.
• Cleaning – dry before wet. Carbon fibre brush and velvet pad for everyday use, fluid and cloths for that flea-market find, stylus cleaner for the diamond.
• Storage – inner sleeves protect the groove, outer sleeves protect the cover from ring wear. Stands and flip racks are more furniture than technology, but they look good.

Honestly

Not every accessory changes the sound. A clean record does so audibly, a weight on the right deck noticeably, a flip rack on the wall not at all – and that's perfectly fine. Frequently asked questions

Can my turntable take a record weight?

Most can, but not all. Decks with a sprung subchassis or a delicate platter bearing react sensitively to extra mass – there, a clamp is the better choice. Tell us your model, and we'll tell you what fits.

What's the right way to clean a record?

In stages. Before every play, use the carbon fibre brush over the spinning record, which picks up loose dust. If the dirt sits deeper, add a cleaning fluid with a microfibre cloth. Wet-cleaned records should then go into fresh inner sleeves.
