HiFi Sets

A HiFi set is a combination of several components matched to each other by the manufacturer or by us – usually an amplifier and speakers, sometimes supplemented with a subwoofer or accessories – that's cheaper and less complicated as a package than buying separately.

Here you'll find two types of sets: compact stereo sets made up of a streaming amplifier and matching bookshelf or floorstanding speakers for an uncomplicated start, and complete home cinema sets with front, centre and surround speakers (some including a subwoofer) for anyone who wants a 5.0 or 5.1 system all of a piece instead of combining individual parts themselves – picked out in person at HD Zürisee's shop in Wädenswil. Brands like DALI, Focal, Cabasse or MOON are represented with ready-made sets, from the compact starter combination to the reference set for larger rooms.

Straight talk: a set mainly saves you the mental effort, not necessarily money compared with a clever individual selection – but in return you know for sure that the components work together. If you'd rather choose amplifier and speakers separately, you'll find the building blocks individually under Streaming Amplifiers and Home Cinema Electronics.

Whether a set suits your room and your budget is best worked out in conversation – tell us about your living situation, and we'll tell you honestly whether a set is enough or individual components pay off more. Matching accessories and the full brand overview are also available in the shop.

Frequently asked questions

Is a HiFi set cheaper than the individual parts?
Often yes, but usually only slightly – the bigger advantage is the guaranteed match between the components, not primarily the price.

Can I extend a set later?
With most sets, yes – for example with an additional subwoofer or surround speaker. Talk to us before buying if a later extension is important to you.

Why buy a HiFi set from HD Zürisee?
