Collection: TVs

A TV today is far more than a screen: it's a smart TV, a streaming hub and often the centrepiece of the living room. The most important differences lie in the panel technology – OLED, Mini-LED or classic LED – as well as size, brightness and features.

Why the right TV matters

The TV determines how good films, sport and games look – and it usually stays in the living room for many years. It's worth looking beyond diagonal size and price to the picture quality that suits the room. A bright room has different requirements than a darkened home cinema, and not every technology is equally good for every purpose.

What matters

The most important decision is the panel technology: OLED for perfect black and the best viewing angles in a darkened room, Mini-LED for maximum brightness in a bright living room, classic LED as an affordable all-rounder. Then there's the size to match your viewing distance, the connections for console and soundbar, and the operating system. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we advise you honestly on which technology and size suits your light, your room and your budget – and take care of delivery, wall mounting and picture calibration on request.

For whom – and plain talk

From a bright family living room to a dark home cinema: there's the right technology for every situation. If you watch a lot in daylight, Mini-LED serves you well; if you enjoy films in the dark, OLED; if you want a solid picture at a low price, LED.

Plain talk: there's no single best TV – there's the best one for your room. More inches and a higher price are no guarantee of a better picture if the technology doesn't suit the light in the room. That's exactly where we start, instead of simply selling you the most expensive model.

Verdict: the right TV is a question of room, light and use – not the highest number on the price tag. We help you choose the technology from OLED, Mini-LED and LED that really looks best in your living room.

Common questions

Which TV technology is best – OLED, Mini-LED or LED?

It depends on the room. OLED offers perfect black and the best viewing angles, ideal in a darkened room. Mini-LED gets very bright and scores in bright living rooms. Classic LED is the affordable all-rounder. There's no universally best technology – only the best one for your situation.

What size should my TV be?

That depends on your viewing distance: the further away you sit, the bigger the TV can be. With modern, high-resolution pictures, you can safely go bigger than in the past. We help you find the right diagonal based on distance and wall situation.

What does HDR mean and do I need it?

HDR provides a greater contrast and colour range, so bright and dark areas of the picture show more detail. Practically all current TVs support HDR, but the quality of implementation varies a lot. When recommending a model, we make sure your TV actually renders HDR well.

Is an expensive TV automatically better?

No. What matters is that the technology suits your room. A well-chosen mid-range TV can look better in your living room than an expensive model with the wrong panel technology. Price is a factor, but not the most important one.

Do you handle delivery, wall mounting and setup?

Yes. On request we deliver the TV, mount it on the wall or on furniture, connect your devices and calibrate the picture. That way, your new TV works right from the very first moment.
