CR-Tech Sound Supports are decoupling feet, Swiss-developed and manufactured, that mechanically separate speakers and hi-fi equipment from their surface.

The lineup is graded by application. The flat 5017 is designed for speakers with spikes, where the tilt angle needs to be preserved. The 5023 is screwed onto speakers or equipment with an M6 thread; both let you vary the hardness, and both come in black and silver. Above them come the two large models with a two-stage damping system: the 5035 with M6 for medium-weight speakers, the 6540 with M8 for heavy speakers. If your connection doesn't fit, thread and adhesive adapters are available.

How to find the right model

Two questions almost always get you there: how much does the speaker or component weigh, and how is it fastened? The model follows almost automatically from weight and thread. That leaves the third question – quantity. Four contact points want four feet, and the sets aren't all the same size. That's exactly where we like to work it out with you.

Honestly

Decoupling works, but subtly and heavily dependent on the equipment, surface and room. It's no good as a starting point: placement, room acoustics and the speakers themselves come first. Frequently asked questions

What do the Sound Supports do?

They stop vibrations from travelling back and forth between the component and its surface – the floor doesn't become a resonating membrane. The result is usually a drier bass and a calmer overall sound: clear on a hard floor, less pronounced on a solid rack.

Set of 2 or set of 4?

It depends on the unit. Four contact points want four feet, which is why the 5035 comes as a set of 4. The large 6540 is supplied as a set of 2; for one speaker you need two of them. Tell us your model, and we'll work out the quantity.

What are the adapters for?

Thread adapters bridge different thread sizes, adhesive adapters create a clean, low-residue fixing point where nothing can be screwed on. We work out which one fits based on your equipment.
