The CR-Tech Adhesive Adapter M6 is a self-adhesive metal disc with an M6 threaded stud that turns a device with no threaded hole into a mounting point for CR-Tech Sound Supports.
Many hi-fi components simply have no threads prepared for decoupling feet. The adhesive adapter creates that point: stick the disc onto the case bottom, screw the Sound Support onto the stud – done. That way decoupling also works where the manufacturer only planned for four soft rubber feet. Supplied as a set of 4, matching a complete set of feet.
Why the Adhesive Adapter M6?
Decoupling works most cleanly when device and foot are joined firmly and precisely. Loose, unattached absorbers do work too, but a screwed-in foot channels vibration more purposefully into the damping system. That's exactly the connection this adapter creates – without you having to drill a single hole into the case. Your device stays exactly as it left the factory.
What you get
Four flat metal discs, each with a central M6 threaded stud and a self-adhesive underside. The stud engages the M6 threaded hole of the Sound Supports 5023 and 5035 – the two models this adapter is made for. Stick it on, let it set briefly, screw the foot on: you don't need more tools than your hands for that.
Who is the Adhesive Adapter M6 suited for – and who isn't it for?
Ideal for anyone who wants to mount their Sound Supports firmly but whose device has no threaded hole – flat streamers, DACs or network players, for example.
Straight talk: if your device already has an M6 thread, you don't need the adapter. Nor do you if you just want to place the feet underneath without attaching them. And for the Sound Support 6540 it's the wrong adapter: that one has an M8 thread. The adhesive adapter is the elegant solution for the case in between – no more, but no less either.
Our verdict
A small part with a clear purpose: firm Sound Supports mounting even where a thread was never planned – without drilling, without leaving permanent marks on the case. Not essential, but the cleanest solution for the in-between case. Whether you actually need it, we'll tell you honestly beforehand.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Adhesive Adapter M6 have an internal or external thread?
An external thread. An M6 threaded stud protrudes from the disc, onto which you screw the Sound Support – the feet themselves have an M6 threaded hole. So you don't need an extra screw or any tools, just a clean, grease-free bonding surface on the case bottom.
How many adhesive adapters do I need?
One per foot. This set of 4 therefore covers one complete 4-piece set of Sound Supports 5023 or 5035. It doesn't fit the 6540: that model has an M8 thread. If you're unsure, we'll quickly work out what you need.
How do I attach the adapter correctly?
First clean the bonding surface on the case thoroughly with isopropanol or cleaning alcohol so no film of grease remains. Only then peel off the protective film and press the adapter on firmly. Let the bond set briefly before screwing in the foot – that keeps it holding permanently.
Can I remove the adapter again?
Generally yes. With a little careful heat, from a hairdryer for example, and a gentle twisting motion, it usually comes off without leaving residue. Wipe off any adhesive traces afterwards with a soft cloth. For sensitive lacquered surfaces, better ask us beforehand.
