Audio Desk Systeme Gläss is the German manufactory that builds fully automatic ultrasonic record cleaning machines – made famous by the Vinyl Cleaner, manufactured in Königsbronn.

The principle can be told in one sentence: you insert the LP and press a button. Four microfibre rollers loosen the coarse dirt, an ultrasonic bath works the groove clean, high-pressure nozzles rinse it, and two fans dry the record without contact. After about five minutes it comes out clean, dry and antistatic – no vacuum extraction, no wiping afterwards, no static charge.

Is an ultrasonic record cleaning machine worth it for you?

Straight talk: not for everyone. If you own three dozen records and dust them off occasionally, a good brush and a simple wet bath will serve you perfectly well. A machine in this class pays off through volume – and through the value of the collection it protects. That's exactly what we tell you upfront, not afterwards.

How do you tell your records need cleaning?

By crackling that remains even after brushing, by noise in quiet passages, and by dust that has settled into the groove. Used pressings, flea-market finds and anything stored for years without an inner sleeve are especially worth cleaning.

How often do you need to buy more consumables?

That depends on your washing volume. Concentrate and wet filters are the ongoing items, while rollers, wipers and drive rings last considerably longer. If you wash a lot, the Maintenance Set 500 is the most economical option – and you'll have everything on hand before it runs out.
