The Audio Desk Systeme Cleaning Concentrate is the cleaning additive that Audio Desk Systeme's Vinyl Cleaner record cleaning machines need for every tank fill.

About 20 ml goes into the distilled water – that's all it takes. The concentrate lowers surface tension so that ultrasound and microfiber rollers can actually reach into the groove. Without the additive, the machine just washes with water, which is about as effective as washing dishes without detergent.

Why the original concentrate?

It's matched to the machine's ultrasonic bath and filtering and leaves no film on the record after drying. Improvised mixes of alcohol or dish soap fail to do exactly that – they foam in the bath, attack seals and can leave residue in the groove. For a collection that matters to you, this is the wrong place to cut corners.

Who is the cleaning concentrate meant for?

For every owner of an Audio Desk record cleaning machine – it's pure consumable material. About 20 ml to 4.5 liters of distilled water. More doesn't mean more cleanliness, just more foam in the bath. How many records a fill can handle depends on how dirty they are – normally cared-for LPs go much further than flea-market finds.

Can you use alcohol or dish soap instead of the concentrate?

We advise against it. Dish soap foams in the ultrasonic bath, alcohol can attack seals and rollers, and both can leave residue in the groove. The original concentrate is matched to the bath, filter and drying – and relative to the machine it's a small expense anyway.
