The Audio Desk Systeme Drive Rings 2-Pack comprises two rubber rings that, inside the Vinyl Cleaner, rotate the record during the cleaning process.
The entire drive runs through these rings: they grip the record and keep it turning evenly while the ultrasound and rollers do their work. Without clean rotation, the groove is only partially reached – and the result becomes uneven.
Why fresh drive rings?
Rubber hardens over time. An old ring slips, runs unevenly, or gets stuck against a wet record – and suddenly the LP no longer turns reliably. That's the most common reason a well-maintained machine still acts up. The swap takes minutes and costs a fraction of what a service appointment would.
When is it time to change them?
When the record stutters in the bath, turns irregularly, or stops entirely. Plain talk: drive rings are the kind of part you only notice once they've stopped working. That's why they belong in every spare-parts drawer – beforehand, not afterward.
Our verdict
An inexpensive wear part with a big impact on reliability. Together with wiper blades and rollers, it forms the trio that keeps a machine running for the long haul. Not sure if that's your issue? Describe what the record is doing to us at HD Zürisee in Wädenswil.

Frequently asked questions
How do you notice the drive rings are worn?
The record no longer turns evenly, stutters, or comes to a stop. Audible slipping during the wash cycle is another sign. If the rubber feels hard or glossy instead of matte and grippy, it's lost its traction.
Can you replace the drive rings yourself?
Yes. The swap is part of normal maintenance and takes just a few minutes – even quicker with the assembly tool with puller. Always replace both rings together so the record keeps turning evenly.
Why buy the drive rings at HD Zürisee?
Because we keep the wear parts for Audio Desk in stock instead of on order – especially with the drive, the machine would otherwise sit idle. HD Zürisee in Wädenswil is an authorized dealer and helps with diagnosis.
