The Canton Puro 30 is a passive 2-way compact speaker with a sealed enclosure; walnut is the only finish in the Puro series with a wood surface.
Alongside black, white, sand and rosé, walnut represents the more classic reading: warm grain instead of a lacquered surface, easy to combine with parquet, a bookcase or older furniture. Everything else stays Puro – elliptical cross-section, 14.5 × 21.5 × 10 cm, 2 kg per speaker.
Why the Puro 30?
Because it manages the trick of being a piece of furniture and a proper speaker at the same time. A 25 mm aluminium tweeter, a 106 mm woofer/midrange, a crossover at 3,900 Hz and a sealed enclosure: an unspectacular but thoroughly solid recipe. Add to that the Easy-Link terminal and factory-ready wall mounting – if you like, hang the pair either side of the TV and you're done.
What you hear
Warm but not washed-out reproduction: voices with substance, highs up to 30,000 Hz without harshness, bass down to 45 Hz with clear contour rather than volume at any cost. If you love a lot of acoustic music, jazz or singer-songwriters, this is exactly the tonality that suits it.
Who is the Puro 30 for?
For living spaces with wood, for second systems, and for anyone who has no appetite for black boxes. Straight talk: as the sole front in a big home cinema, the Puro 30 is undersized – there the Puro 90 belongs up front and the 30 goes to the rear. And if you're after a ported speaker with a deeper foundation, make that choice consciously: the Puro 30 trades depth for precision.
Our verdict
The finish that looks least like technology and stays current the longest – wood tends to age better than trends, after all. Sonically, the Puro 30 in walnut delivers the same as its four siblings: a controlled, wall-friendly compact speaker that never uses its size as an excuse.

Frequently asked questions
Does the walnut finish sound different from the lacquered versions?
No. All five Puro 30 finishes share the same drivers, crossover and enclosure volume, and Canton states identical technical data for every colour. The surface decides the look, not the sound. So choose by décor – sonically you're not giving anything up.
How much clearance from the wall does the Puro 30 need?
Less than a ported speaker. Because the enclosure is sealed, there's no port to cause boominess near a wall. A few centimetres of air and a slight toe-in towards the listening position still improve imaging. And thanks to its mounting preparation, it can also go right on the wall.
Can I use the Puro 30 as a rear speaker?
Yes, that's explicitly one of its intended uses. Canton positions the Puro 30 both as a stereo pair and as a rear speaker in home cinema, or as a compact desktop solution. At 2 kg and with wall-mount preparation, it can be placed unobtrusively at the back of the room.
How many speakers do I get?
Two. We carry the Puro 30 as a pair, matching its typical use as a stereo pair or rear pair. The scope of delivery covers two speakers including grille covers. Stands, wall brackets and cables come separately and can be ordered alongside.
Why buy the Canton Puro 30 from HD Zürisee?
Because behind the sale stands a specialist shop that has been assembling and servicing systems in Wädenswil since 1997. We tell you which amplifier really fits, take care of delivery and mounting, and stay reachable afterwards too – by phone, email or WhatsApp.
Goes well with
The full range is under Speakers, larger towers are found under Floorstanding speakers. To get the connection to the amplifier right, it's worth a look at the speaker cable range; everything else from the brand is shown in the Canton world.
