The Canton Puro 30 is a passive 2-way compact speaker with a sealed enclosure, which Canton offers in five living-space colours.

Rosé is the boldest of them: a muted dusty pink that sets an accent in the bedroom, the home office or on a sideboard, instead of hiding away. The dimensions stay compact – 14.5 cm wide, 21.5 cm tall, 10 cm deep, 2 kg per speaker.

Why the Puro 30?

Because it also works at close range. The 106 mm woofer/midrange and the 25 mm aluminium dome sit close together, and the sealed enclosure doesn't need generous clearance from the rear wall to deliver clean bass. Two traits worth more on a desk or in a small room than any wattage figure. The tweeter reaches up to 30,000 Hz, giving cymbals and strings the air that small speakers tend to lose otherwise.

What you hear

Close, direct, without harshness. Voices come across with body, the highs stay refined, and the bass down to 45 Hz is taut rather than voluminous. At two to three metres' distance, a surprisingly stable centre image emerges – exactly what you'd least expect from a design speaker.

Who is the Puro 30 for?

For smaller rooms, side rooms, and anyone who's pleased rather than startled by a coloured speaker. Honestly: if you decide purely by spec sheet, you'll find speakers with higher sensitivity and deeper bass – but they'll also look like speakers. And at 86.5 dB sensitivity, it doesn't hurt if the amplifier brings a bit of reserve along.

Our verdict

Rosé isn't a gimmick, but a carefully judged shade that looks surprisingly grown-up next to wood and natural tones. Sonically you get the same precise, wall-friendly voicing as in black or walnut – it's just that this version also brings you joy when no music is playing at all.

Frequently asked questions

Which amplifier suits the Canton Puro 30?

A stereo integrated amplifier or AV receiver that works stably into 4 to 8 ohms. Nominal power handling is 50 watts, music power handling 120 watts; a bit of headroom does the 86.5 dB sensitivity good. Which specific model makes sense depends on your room and source.

Does the Puro 30 work as a desktop speaker?

Yes. At 10 cm deep and with a sealed enclosure, it copes even close to a rear wall, which is rarely avoidable on a desk. You'll need an amplifier with a suitable input, since the Puro 30 has neither its own amplification nor a USB connection.

Is the Puro 30 also available as a single unit?

We carry the Puro 30 as a pair, since it's mostly needed as a stereo pair or a rear pair. For odd numbers in a multichannel system, just get in touch. We'll check availability of individual speakers in the finish you want.

Why buy the Puro 30 in Rosé from HD Zürisee?

Because colour is a decision you rarely make twice. We advise you on how it works in the room, on matching electronics and on placement – in person rather than from a catalogue. HD Zürisee in Wädenswil then also takes care of delivery, mounting and service.

Goes well with

Matching electronics are under Amplifiers, more compact speakers under Bookshelf speakers. The speaker stands bring it to ear height, and the brand's other models are in the Canton world.
