Canton Basic LS Speaker Stand, White Matte (Pair)

The Canton Basic LS is a speaker stand for compact speakers that brings your boxes to listening height and acoustically decouples them from the floor.

Not a speaker itself, but the piece of furniture behind it – yet one that has a real say in the sound of any bookshelf speaker. In white satin, the Basic LS is the right choice for bright living rooms and white boxes, when a black stand would look like a foreign body.

Why the Canton Basic LS?

Because a compact speaker sitting on the sideboard or bookshelf never quite settles acoustically. The Basic LS brings the tweeter to ear height and decouples the box from the surface, which noticeably improves bass and imaging. Anyone who's tried to fake the right height with books knows it rarely ends up neat.

What you get

Two sturdy columns with height-adjustable spikes that provide secure footing on parquet, tile, or carpet too, plus cable routing that disappears completely inside the column. The white satin surface blends unobtrusively into bright rooms instead of standing out as a black block.

Who is the Canton Basic LS for?

For anyone who owns a compact speaker and wants to position it properly, regardless of the box's brand. Plain talk: if you're mounting your speakers permanently into a shelf, you don't need a stand – no base in the world helps there. And if you prefer it darker, the Basic LS is also available in black.

Our verdict

A stand doesn't sell on big promises, but on whether it stands stably, decouples well, and makes the cables disappear. The Basic LS does exactly that, without pushing itself into the foreground. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we put together stand and speaker together, so that in the end height, looks, and sound all fit.

Frequently asked questions

Which speakers does the Canton Basic LS fit?

The Basic LS is a universal stand for compact or bookshelf speakers, regardless of brand. What matters is your speaker's footprint and weight. We're happy to check with you in advance whether your model fits.

Does the Basic LS stand securely on carpet too?

Yes, the height-adjustable spikes compensate for small unevennesses and provide a secure, tip-free stance on carpet too. On sensitive floors we additionally recommend felt pads.

Can I route the speaker cable invisibly?

Yes, the cable routing runs inside the column and only re-emerges at the top by the speaker. No loose cables are left lying on the floor.

Is the Basic LS supplied as a pair or individually?

With us, as a pair for your stereo setup. Canton itself lists it per unit; we deliver it to you finished as a pair.

Why buy the Canton Basic LS from HD Zürisee?

Because the right stand height and cable routing are just as much part of the sound result as the box itself – and that's what we look at in our advice. Our experienced specialist team in Wädenswil tunes stand and speaker together to your room. Give us a call or drop us a quick message.
