Canton Atelier OnWall 3 On-Wall Speaker, White (Each)

The Canton Atelier OnWall 3 is a square on-wall speaker for spots where an elongated model doesn't fit and cutting into the wall isn't an option.

It uses the same sealed enclosure as the InWall 3, but hangs directly in front of the wall via a compact VESA mount. The smallest, most affordable model in the Atelier OnWall line – and often the one that's quickest to install.

Why the Atelier OnWall 3?

Because the square format gives you planning freedom without having to cut into the wall. A 128 mm aluminium-titanium woofer/midrange, a 25 mm tweeter with wave guide, and a passive radiator sit inside a sealed enclosure of just 33 × 33 cm. Because this enclosure doesn't need any wall cavity volume, it sounds the same on a concrete wall as on drywall.

What you'll hear

A clean, understated sound with clear speech and fine treble. It rolls off at 42 Hz on the low end – entirely sufficient for ambience, radio, podcasts, and surround effects. It won't deliver punchy deep bass, simply because it's too small for that, and Canton knew that when building it.

Who is the Atelier OnWall 3 suited for?

For surround and effects channels, for sound in kitchens, hallways or offices, and for small rooms where a stereo pair is enough – anywhere a wall cutout isn't possible or isn't wanted. Straight talk: as a main speaker in a large living room it's out of its depth, a bigger model belongs there. And if you want the technology fully hidden, go for the InWall 3.

Does the Atelier OnWall 3 need a wall cutout?

No. It's screwed directly onto the wall via a compact VESA bracket (100 × 100 mm) and brings its own sealed enclosure. No cutout or access to the wall cavity is needed.

Is there a centre-channel variant of the Atelier OnWall 3?

No, Canton currently doesn't offer a dedicated C-centre variant for the OnWall 3. As a dialogue channel in small setups, you either use a second unit mounted horizontally or step up to the OnWall 5 C for the centre. We'll advise you on what makes more sense for your setup.

Can the OnWall 3 be mounted in a kitchen or bathroom?

Yes in the kitchen and hallway, and in the bathroom only well outside the splash zone. Canton doesn't rate the Atelier OnWall series for damp rooms. For a shower or outdoor area, we'll plan in a model rated for that instead.

What's the OnWall 3 best suited for?

As a surround and effects speaker in a home cinema, as unobtrusive sound in secondary rooms, and as a space-saving stereo pair in small rooms. For main speakers in larger rooms, go for the OnWall 5 or add a subwoofer.
