Collection: BLOK

Blok is a British manufacturer of hi-fi furniture whose racks decouple electronics rather than just resting them.

The centrepiece is the modular Stax 2G system: a base module, on top of it shelves with 120, 170 or 220 mm of usable height, or an LP compartment for records. The shelves, made of ash plywood or black glass, sit on the uprights over a silicone isolation layer; the side panels are hollow and can be filled with sand; and the feet sit height-adjustable on spikes or hard-floor pads. Each shelf carries up to 40 kg. Blok belongs to the Monitor Audio Group; the Stax 2G series won the EISA "AV Furniture 2024-2025" award.

How to choose the right Blok rack

  • Number of shelves – count your devices and add a reserve. Ready-configured 3-shelf and 4-shelf versions exist, and you can add individual modules later.
  • Usable height – flat streamers manage with 120 mm, integrated amplifiers usually need 170 mm, tall tube devices 220 mm.
  • Finish – ash black/walnut looks warm, ash natural/satin white bright and light, black glass more formal and noticeably heavier.
  • Floor – spikes on carpet, hard-floor pads on parquet and stone.

Straight talk

A Blok rack is a purchase for the next decade, not a stopgap for the weekend. If you just need somewhere to put things, you don't need it. But if you run a turntable, keep your system in the living room, or are tired of sorting cables behind a sideboard, you'll notice the difference every day — mechanically as well as visually. And yes, a modular rack is also worth liking because you expand it later instead of throwing it away.

Frequently asked questions

How much weight does a Blok rack carry?

With the Stax 2G, it's 40 kg per shelf. That's enough for heavy integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers and solid turntables. Put the heaviest device at the bottom and place the rack on a level, load-bearing surface.

Can I expand a rack later?

Yes, Stax 2G is a modular kit. You loosen the M10 fixing, add an extra module and tighten it back up — in the same finish, so the build stays consistent.

Do you assemble the furniture?

On request we deliver and assemble it, set up your system on it and route the cables neatly. Tell us which devices are going on it, and we'll plan the module heights with you in advance at HD Zürisee in Wädenswil.

Matching electronics for the shelves can be found under All amplifiers, Streamers & network players and Turntables; more furniture and stands under Hi-Fi furniture & TV furniture.
