It covers a footprint of 410 × 335 mm, making it the most compact cover in the current Thorens spare parts range — a number that's worth more when ordering than any model list.

Why this cover?

A broken or clouded cover is more annoying than it looks: it no longer closes cleanly, lets dust reach the platter and stylus, and visually drags down the whole unit. The factory replacement restores both, without you needing to change anything on the turntable itself.

Watch out, the extra letters count: with Thorens, combinations like "A" or "DD" aren't cosmetic — they distinguish units with different cabinet dimensions. This cover belongs to the 101-A/201/402-DD family, including the TD 1500. The older number series — such as TD 158, TD 170, or TD 240 in their various suffix variants — are served by the CH-45 and CH-170 covers and don't fit here.

FAQ

Does this cover fit my TD 1500?

Yes. The TD 1500 uses the same cover as the TD 101 A, TD 102 A, TD 201, TD 202, TD 402 DD, and TD 403 DD models. Not to be confused with the TD 1600 and TD 1601: those two are larger and need their own, wider cover.

How do I check before buying whether it fits?

Measure the footprint of your current cover. This model measures 410 × 335 mm and is 65 mm high. If you come out significantly above 430 mm in width, you're looking at a cover from a different series and need a different spare part — just ask us if in doubt.

Is the cover clear or tinted?

It's made clear, as in the original of these series. In the current Thorens range, it's mainly the CH-45 in blue-gray smoke that's tinted, but that one belongs to the older TD 158 through TD 240 models and doesn't fit here.
