It's nearly clear, only lightly beveled, and covers a footprint of 418 × 355 mm. Sounds like a small detail — but it's exactly where most wrong orders happen.

Why the CH-170?

A cover takes more wear over the years than the rest of the turntable: scratches, hairline cracks around the hinges, a yellowish tinge over time. The right replacement brings both back — a clean view of the turntable and protection for the tonearm, stylus, and electronics.

Watch out for the suffix trap: with Thorens, the number after the hyphen decides everything.
