The Scansonic HD MB8 B is the statement floorstanding pair of the MB series – a 3-way bass-reflex system with a ribbon tweeter, two carbon midrange drivers and two 8-inch carbon woofers.

In gloss black, Scansonic's largest and most powerful model presents itself exactly as it sounds: composed, without pushing itself forward. Anyone who thinks "understated" and "statement" are a contradiction hasn't heard the Danes yet.

Why the MB8 B?

Like Raidho, Scansonic HD belongs to the Danish manufacturer Dantax – and the MB8 B is the brand's most uncompromising answer yet to the question of how much Raidho DNA fits into an affordable cabinet. The quasi-ribbon tweeter with Kapton foil diaphragm weighs around 50 times less than a classic dome and renders highs silky and lightning-fast.

Below it, two 5.25-inch carbon midrange drivers and two 8-inch carbon woofers do the work – all of them Raidho's own developments, not bought-in parts. The curved, heavily braced cabinet with three bass-reflex ports and adjustable aluminium feet keeps the sound free from the enclosure.
