IsoTek EVO3 Sigmas Power Conditioner (6-Outlet)

The IsoTek EVO3 Sigmas is a power conditioner with six individually filtered outputs – two high-current and four medium-current – that feeds an entire system with clean power from a single chassis.

It combines a slimmed-down version of the Titan's Direct-Coupled technology for the power amplifiers with four finely tuned filtered outputs for sources and players. Six outputs, six stages of cleaning, one power hub – in IsoTek's Select range it is the big brother of the Aquarius. Why the EVO3 Sigmas?

The two high-current outputs deliver up to 16 A (3,680 W) for power amplifiers, active speakers, subwoofers or large TVs. The four medium-current outputs use Adaptive Gating, which adapts the cleaning to the actual current demand of the connected source (10 A / 2,300 W). KERP provides equal-length current paths to all outputs, and the internal wiring is silver-plated PCOCC copper with FEP insulation. Add 108,000 A surge protection, up to 75 dB of radio-frequency interference suppression and an LED display for mains voltage and distortion (THD) – switchable off in case glowing digits in the listening room bother you.

What you hear

The effect of a high-current filter on the power amplifiers and a source filter on everything else – at the same time. The background gets quieter, the soundstage steadier, the bass gains definition. Dynamics are preserved because the high-current outputs do not hold anything back. A whole chain visibly pulls in the same direction.

Who is the EVO3 Sigmas for? (and who is it not for – plain talk)

The right choice when a complete chain is to be supplied from a single chassis – power amplifier plus sources, hi-fi plus AV. Plain talk: if you run only two or three components, you will not get your money's worth – the smaller Aquarius is enough. And if you only need high current for power amplifiers, a focused high-current filter is cheaper. The Sigmas pays off when you really use the full range.

What is the difference between the IsoTek EVO3 Sigmas and the Aquarius?

Both clean the whole chain; the Sigmas is one step larger: six outputs with two dedicated high-current slots (Direct-Coupled from the Titan) compared with the more compact Aquarius. More devices, more high-current reserve, same basic idea.

Which devices belong on the high-current outputs?

Anything that draws power: power amplifiers, active speakers, subwoofers or a large TV. The four medium-current outputs are for sources such as CD players, DACs, streamers, preamplifiers or tuners. If you are unsure how to distribute your chain, we will talk it through together.

Is the Sigmas available in silver and black?
