The Sonoro Maestro + Orchestra Gen.2 HiFi set (Advanced Bundle) in matt white is a complete stereo system made up of the Sonoro Maestro hi-fi receiver with CD drive, DAB+ and streaming plus a pair of Sonoro Orchestra Gen.2 bookshelf speakers.
Unpack, set up, plug in the speaker cables: receiver and speakers both come from Sonoro and are designed to work together. All you still need is a pair of speaker cables and your music – from CD, radio, phone or turntable.
Why a set?
Because the Orchestra Gen.2 ask for exactly what the Maestro delivers: they want 50 to 170 watts into 4 Ω, and it brings 2 × 170 watts into 4 Ω (2 × 100 watts into 8 Ω). Power and impedance match without any datasheet tetris, and you end up with one receiver, two speakers and one invoice.
What you hear and get
The Maestro is a hi-fi receiver with a Hypex Class-D amplifier, a hand-polished wooden cabinet and a front panel and buttons made of solid metal. It plays CDs (including CD-R, CD-RW and MP3-CD), DAB+ and FM, over 25,000 internet radio stations and streaming services such as Spotify Connect, Qobuz, Deezer or Amazon Music. Bluetooth (two-way, with aptX) brings in your phone or sends sound out to headphones. A phono input for MM cartridges, a pre-out for a subwoofer and room adjustment via app round it off.
The Orchestra Gen.2 are compact 2-way bass-reflex speakers: an Air Motion Transformer in a wave guide provides silky, detailed highs, and a 6-inch mid-woofer with double magnet provides contoured, powerful bass. The hand-sanded HDF cabinet with internal matrix keeps resonances low, and the fabric covers attach magnetically.
Who is this set for – and who is it not for?
Ideal for anyone who wants a complete system with CD drive, radio and streaming from one source for a medium-sized room. Plainly put: the USB port on the Maestro is for charging only, not for music playback, and if you want to fill very large rooms or play at home-cinema levels you should look at floorstanding speakers instead. If you already own a good amplifier or good speakers, the individual components are the better choice.
Our verdict
A receiver that does everything a living room asks for, and two speakers that do not overtax it: no component puzzle, but a system that is up and running after one afternoon. Whether the set suits your room, we will tell you honestly before you order. HD Zürisee in Wädenswil: ☎ +41 44 680 22 00 · WhatsApp 076 534 22 00 (text only, no calls) · shop@hdzuerisee.ch.

Frequently asked questions
What is included in the HiFi set Sonoro Maestro + Orchestra Gen.2?
The Sonoro Maestro hi-fi receiver with CD drive, remote control and antennas, plus a pair of Orchestra Gen.2 bookshelf speakers in matt white. That is a complete stereo system – all you still need are speaker cables and your music.
Can I play records and CDs?
Yes, both. The Maestro has a CD drive and a phono input for MM cartridges, so a suitable turntable connects directly to the unit. If your cartridge is an MC type, ask us beforehand which phono stage you need.
Is the set enough for my living room?
It is designed for medium-sized rooms. The Orchestra Gen.2 ask for 50 to 170 watts, the Maestro delivers 170 watts into 4 Ω – there is reserve. For very large or open-plan rooms, a conversation about larger speakers is worthwhile first.
Do I need a streaming subscription for the set?
No, a subscription is purely optional. CD, DAB+, FM, internet radio, Bluetooth and your turntable all work without any service. You can add Spotify, Qobuz or Deezer if you use them anyway.
Why buy the Sonoro Maestro + Orchestra Gen.2 set from HD Zürisee?
Because we tell you honestly whether the set suits your room or whether another combination would be better. You also get advice by phone or WhatsApp, help with setup and our own technician for service. A specialist shop, not a mail-order warehouse.
