Grado W-Cushion Headphone Pads

The Grado W-Cushion is an original replacement ear pad from Grado – made specifically for the wireless open-back GW100 and GW100 X headphones. It's precisely matched to their housing and fits only the GW100 range.

Ear pads are wear parts: over the years, the foam goes hard or crumbly. A fresh pad brings back fit, comfort and sound.

Why original W-Cushion pads?

The GW100 X is the only open-back Bluetooth headphone on the market and has its own housing and damping geometry. The W-Cushion is matched exactly to that – third-party pads audibly change the sound here, often towards more but messier bass.

What you hear

With a fresh original pad, the tuning is right again: clean bass, open mids and an even, low-pressure fit – especially useful on the GW100 X, which people often wear for hours thanks to its battery life.

Who is the W-Cushion for?

For anyone with a Grado GW100 or GW100 X whose pads have worn out. Straight talk: the W-Cushion fits only the GW100 range. For wired Grados, you'll want S-, L-, G- or F-cushions instead.

Our verdict

The right original pad for the one-of-a-kind wireless Grado – replaced fresh, the GW100 X sounds and fits like day one again.

Frequently asked questions

Does the W-Cushion also fit other Grado headphones?

No. The W-Cushion is made specifically for the open, wireless GW100 range and only fits cleanly there. The wired models use the S-, L-, G- and F-cushions instead.

How often should ear pads be replaced?

There's no fixed interval – condition is what matters. Once the foam goes hard, crumbly or flat, fit and comfort suffer, and the sound follows suit. For a headphone that's out and about daily, it's worth replacing them sooner rather than later.
