The Grado I-Cushion is the original replacement earpad for the iGrado and eGrado models and is supplied as a pair.

It mainly depends on use. As a rule of thumb: once the foam has visibly collapsed, feels hard or starts crumbling, it's time. With daily use that's often one to two years, with occasional listening considerably longer.

Do new earpads change the sound?

Yes, noticeably. Fresh foam keeps the driver at its intended distance from your ear, which brings back the bass and midrange body that gets lost with flattened pads. If it's been a while since you last replaced them, the difference is usually bigger than expected.
