Grado Hard-Shell Headphone Case Medium

The Grado Hard-Shell Headphone Case in size Medium is a rigid case for the more compact Grado headphones – the Prestige series, GW100, the GH models, RS2e and Hemp.

Open-back headphones are more delicate than their rugged looks suggest. A grille, a driver, not much in between.

Why a hard case?

Because the typical damage doesn't happen while listening, it happens in a backpack, a drawer or on the passenger seat. The rigid shell absorbs pressure before it reaches the headband or the grille, and keeps dust away from the drivers.

What you get

The original case from Grado with a zip closure and a perfectly fitted interior. Fold the headphones, tuck the cable in beside them, zip up – there's nothing more to it.

Who is the Medium size for?

For all Prestige models plus GW100, GH models, RS2e and Hemp – so for headphones with S, W, L or flat cushions. Straight talk: the large G cushions don't fit in here. For GS, PS and Signature models you need the Large version.

Our verdict

Not an exciting product, but one you won't want to be without after the first damage it prevents. Especially worthwhile if the headphones travel regularly.

Frequently asked questions

Does my headphone fit the Medium size?

If it's from the Prestige series or is a GW100, GH model, RS2e or Hemp, it fits. The cushion is what mainly decides it: S, W, L and flat cushions fit, the large G cushions don't. If unsure, tell us your model and we'll tell you which size is right.

Can I pack the cable in too?

Yes, the interior has room for the folded headphones and the coiled cable. Coil it loosely, not tightly, around the headband – tight coils are one of the most common causes of cable breaks at the strain relief.

Why buy the Grado case from HD Zürisee?

Because we tell you in advance which of the two sizes belongs to your model – that saves a return. HD Zürisee in Wädenswil stocks the original Grado accessories and is happy to ship them together with the headphones.
