The Canton Smart Libero is an active wireless speaker that wirelessly extends an existing Canton Smart System with surround, height or front channels.
No speaker cable, no extra amplifier: you register the two speakers, each just 11 × 15 × 8 centimetres, in your master device's speaker configuration, and from then on everything runs over radio. 700 grams per unit means, in practice: shelf, wall mount or ceiling – the Libero goes anywhere no one wanted to run a cable before.
Why the Smart Libero?
Because Canton Smart had a gap until now. Anyone wanting surround had to press the noticeably larger soundbox into service as a rear speaker – fine sonically, a statement visually. The Libero is built for exactly this role: 2-way, sealed enclosure, 25 mm fabric dome over a 78 mm cellulose-graphite driver, 70 watts of system power per unit. Small, but not shy.
What the Libero delivers in the living room
It layers effects cleanly behind the listening position instead of tipping them diffusely into the room. Four Liberos give you a rounded surround image; mounted high on the wall or on the ceiling, they take on the Dolby Atmos layer via the master device. A Canton Smart Sub adds deep bass if needed – wirelessly, of course.
Who is the Smart Libero suited to?
Straight talk: the Libero is an extension, not a soloist. Without a Canton Smart master device – Smart Soundbar 9 or 10, Smart Sounddeck 100, Smart Connect 5.1 or Smart Amp 5.1 – it stays silent. Anyone looking for a standalone Bluetooth speaker for the office has taken a wrong turn here. Anyone wanting their Canton Smart setup to finally play all around them is exactly right. We'll tell you upfront whether your device fits – honestly, even when the answer is sometimes no.
Our verdict
The missing piece in the Canton Smart ecosystem: a rear and height speaker that's no bigger than its job requires. In black, it recedes so far in front of dark walls, shelves and furniture that in the end only the sound is left.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Canton Smart Libero work without another device?
No. The Smart Libero is an extension speaker and needs a Canton Smart master device as a source, such as a Smart Soundbar 9 or 10, the Smart Sounddeck 100, the Smart Connect 5.1 or the Smart Amp 5.1. The unit has no Bluetooth input of its own.
How is the Smart Libero integrated?
Via the master device's speaker configuration: there you choose the position and connection type, then plug in the unit's power cable and the radio link builds itself up. You never need an audio cable, but you do need power at every location. The Canton Smart Remote is available as an option.
Can I mount the Smart Libero on a wall or ceiling?
Yes. The enclosure is factory-prepared for wall mounting; the matching Libero wall bracket is available as an accessory, but it isn't in the box. At 700 grams per unit, the Libero suits shelf, wall and ceiling – all you need is an accessible power outlet, since there's no battery inside.
Is the Smart Libero sold individually or as a pair?
As a pair. Canton offers the Smart Libero as a two-piece set, ideal as a left and right rear or height pair. For a 4.0 setup with four units, you'd take two such pairs accordingly. The box contains both speakers, one 1.5-metre power cable each, and the quick guide.
Why buy the Canton Smart Libero from HD Zürisee?
Because a surround setup is more than two boxes: master device, placement and channel assignment need to fit together. The HD Zürisee team in Wädenswil plans your Canton Smart System from years of practical experience, and our own technician handles installation and setup. Call or drop us a line.
