The Canton Smart Libero Set 2 is a wireless stereo and streaming set made up of the Smart Connect 5.1 S2 as the hub and two active Smart Libero speakers, connected wirelessly.

In white, this is the version for bright living spaces: two small cabinets measuring eleven by fifteen centimetres that barely stand out against a light wall, plus a flat hub under the TV. TV, player and games console connect in via HDMI, sound goes out by radio. There's no signal cable between the devices at all – power is all it takes.

Why the Smart Libero Set 2?

Which components belong to the Smart Libero Set 2?

Two Smart Libero wireless speakers, a Smart Connect 5.1 S2 as the hub, and a Canton Smart Remote Control. The Libero handle the front left and right channels, the hub manages sources, network and volume. Subwoofer and rear speakers are not part of the set.

Is the Set 2 enough as a complete system for the TV?

Yes, for stereo. The TV connects to the hub via HDMI, whose output supports eARC; there's room for three further HDMI sources. A separate AV receiver becomes unnecessary, since the Libero bring their own power amps and only need a power outlet.

Can I run the Smart Libero on a different amplifier?

No. They can only be used as part of a Canton Smart system and need a master device – here the included Smart Connect 5.1 S2, or alternatively a Canton Smart soundbar or a Smart Sounddeck. On their own with third-party electronics, they stay silent.

Can Set 2 later become a home cinema?

Yes. Two additional Smart Libero give you the Set 4 configuration, and a Canton Smart Sub adds deep bass. In total, the hub manages eight wireless Smart speakers, so the expansion can happen in stages over the years.

Do I have to subscribe to anything for the streaming features?

No, a subscription is optional. AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect and Bluetooth are all ready to go, but also work with music from your phone, your home network or internet radio. TV sound runs via the HDMI connection anyway.
