The Canton Puro 30 is a passive 2-way compact speaker with a sealed enclosure, designed equally for shelf, stand and wall mounting.
In silky white, the slim column all but disappears against light walls: 14.5 cm wide, 21.5 cm tall, 10 cm deep, with an elliptical cross-section instead of sharp edges. At two kilograms per speaker, the wall bracket doesn't need a structural engineer either.
Why the Puro 30?
Because the division of labour is right. A 25 mm aluminium dome and a 106 mm woofer/midrange only cross over at 3,900 Hz – so the tweeter takes over late, and the woofer/midrange keeps voices and fundamental tone in one hand. That gives you a coherent sound picture instead of two drivers arguing in the middle. The Easy-Link terminal takes the cable cleanly, and the sealed enclosure keeps the bass in shape.
What you hear
A tidy, more lean-than-bulky sound picture. Speech and vocals stay intelligible even at low volume late in the evening. Down low, the Puro 30 reaches 45 Hz, which is enough foundation for pop, jazz, classical and binge-watching.
Who is the Puro 30 for?
For bright living spaces, bedrooms, workspaces – anywhere a floorstanding speaker would simply be too much. Honestly: if you want to fill a big open kitchen-living room and get properly loud while you're at it, you're asking too much of a speaker rated at 50 watts nominal and 86.5 dB sensitivity. Better to go a size up for that. For normal rooms up to around 25 square metres, the ratio works out.
Our verdict
Silky white is the least conspicuous of the five finishes, and that's exactly why it's the most pragmatic. The Puro 30 sounds more grown-up than its size suggests, and it fits in almost anywhere. For a design speaker, a pleasantly unfussy affair.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an amplifier for the Canton Puro 30?
Yes. The Puro 30 is built passively, with no amplifier of its own and no network features. A stereo integrated amplifier or AV receiver with stable output into 4 to 8 ohms is all you need. We're happy to work out beforehand which one suits your source and room.
Can the Puro 30 be mounted on the wall?
Yes, Canton ships it from the factory ready for wall mounting. At 2 kg per speaker, fitting stays simple, and because the enclosure is sealed, the Puro 30 copes with a near-wall position better sonically than a ported speaker would.
How big can the room be?
The Puro 30 is well sized for rooms up to about 25 square metres. In larger, open floor plans it can reach the volume, but loses composure in the bass. There, either adding a subwoofer or moving straight to the Puro 90 floorstander makes more sense.
Why order the Puro 30 in white from HD Zürisee?
Because we don't just supply the speaker, we think through everything around it: amplifier, cable length, wall bracket, stand height. The HD Zürisee team has worked with speakers since the nineties and knows what holds up in everyday use. Call, email, or send a WhatsApp message.
Goes well with
More compact speakers can be found under Bookshelf speakers, matching speaker stands bring the Puro 30 up to ear height. For the connection to the amplifier, it's worth a look at the speaker cable range, and the brand's full range is in the Canton world.
