The Canton Atelier InWall 5 C is a passive 2-way center in-wall speaker that lets the dialogue channel of a home cinema disappear into the wall.
It uses the same enclosure as the Atelier InWall 5, just mounted horizontally – designed for the position just below a wall-flush TV. In white silk matt with a frameless fabric cover, practically nothing remains visible in front of the wall.
Why the Atelier InWall 5 C?
Because the center is the most important speaker in a home cinema, and of all of them, the one that fits worst. Below a wall-mounted TV, there's rarely more than a few centimetres of space left. The InWall 5 C solves this by sitting entirely in the wall: a 128 mm aluminium-titanium woofer/midrange driver, a 25 mm aluminium tweeter with wave guide, and a passive radiator that coaxes the necessary bass out of the flat enclosure.
What you hear
Above all: you understand what's being said again. Voices sit centred and locked to the picture, instead of floating between the front speakers. The wave guide ensures that even the edge of the sofa doesn't become an acoustic dead zone. Effects that move from the center to the front speakers transition without an audible jump – same drivers, same tuning.
Who is the Atelier InWall 5 C suited to?
For anyone planning a built-in home cinema: TV flush with the wall, cables in the wall, no visible boxes. Ideal as a center to Atelier InWall 5 front speakers, but it also works as a space-saving dialogue channel in mixed setups. Straight talk: a center alone doesn't make a home cinema – without matching front speakers and an AV receiver with room calibration, a lot of potential is left on the table. And anyone who already knows the TV will move to a different wall in two years is better off planning a movable solution.
Our verdict
The clean answer to a common problem: intelligible dialogue, without a box stuck under the TV. Sonically matched exactly to the InWall 5 family, making it the obvious choice when the front speakers are already in the wall.

Frequently asked questions
What cut-out size does the Atelier InWall 5 C need?
53.4 × 18.4 cm in landscape orientation, at 7.2 cm installation depth. Because the center usually sits just below the TV, the position needs to match the TV mount and stud spacing. Mauri, our technician, measures this before the first cut is made.
Why do I even need a dedicated center speaker?
The center reproduces dialogue in a home cinema and locks it firmly to the picture. Without it, the voice hangs in mid-air between the front speakers as soon as you sit off to the side. A dedicated center makes speech noticeably more intelligible, especially with quietly mixed series.
Does the InWall 5 C need a rear chamber or an installation enclosure?
No, it brings its own enclosure with a passive radiator and doesn't use the wall's volume. An insulated cavity wall is still recommended, though, so dialogue doesn't bleed into the room next door. In solid walls, a matching recess is prepared instead.
Does the InWall 5 C match the Atelier InWall 5 front speakers?
Yes, that's the intended combination. Center and front speaker share the same drivers, the same frequency range and the same sensitivity, just installed horizontally instead of vertically. This keeps the sound homogeneous across the entire front stage, with no audible break during a pan.
Why buy the Canton Atelier InWall 5 C from HD Zürisee?
Because a home cinema works as a system, not as an individual part. We match center, front speakers, subwoofer and receiver to each other, plan the cut-outs with you, and Mauri installs on site and calibrates afterwards. Get in touch, and we'll go through your project together.
Goes well with
The matching front speakers are under Wall Speakers, further dialogue channels under Center Speakers. A Subwoofer provides the foundation, and the Home Cinema Speakers and the Home Cinema world give you an overview of the film-sound range. It's best to plan in speaker cable at the same time. Everything from Canton is in the Canton world.
