The Blok Stax 2G Module LP is the tall level of the modular Stax 2G rack: 350 mm of usable height, built for records standing upright. Here, natural ash meets silky-matte satin white – the lightest of the three finishes, one that tends to disappear into a bright room rather than stand out.

Why the Module LP?

With the Stax 2G, a rack isn't a single purchase decision, it's a building plan. You start with the Base Module, which provides the height-adjustable feet and the bottom level, then stack on top of it the heights your components actually need: 120 for flat gear, 170 and 220 for amplifiers and players – and the LP as soon as records want to move in too. Every level is bolted on and decoupled via silicone isolation pads that sit between the levels. The hollow supports each take roughly five litres of damping filler if you want things stiffer and calmer.

What you get out of it

Records you can see are records you listen to more often – that's not marketing wisdom, it's everyday experience. The LP level brings your collection up to arm's reach instead of down into the cellar, and it stays sturdy while doing it: 40 kg per level is enough for a serious amount of vinyl, or for a tall component that doesn't fit under the next shelf elsewhere. Expanding later doesn't mean buying new – it means adding a level.

Who is the Module LP for?

For vinyl listeners building their rack step by step, and for bright living spaces where dark glass would feel too heavy. Honestly: the Module LP doesn't replace record storage furniture for a large collection – it's the level for what's currently in rotation. And without the Base Module it can't stand at all; feet and footprint come from below. If you only need to house slim electronics, you're paying here for height you'll never use.

Our verdict

The friendliest version of the LP level. Ash natural with satin white turns a piece of tech furniture into a piece of living-room furniture, without the construction suffering for it – assembly, decoupling and load capacity are identical to the dark finishes. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, we look at which module heights your system needs beforehand, so you don't end up ordering twice.

Frequently asked questions

How many LPs does the level hold?

As a rule of thumb, we reckon on around 40 records per level. Blok doesn't give an official count, but does give the usable dimensions: 350 mm high, 480 mm wide, 379 mm deep. In the end, your sleeve thickness decides – gatefolds and box sets take up noticeably more width.

Can the Module LP be combined with the other heights?

Yes, in any order. Base Module, Module 120, 170, 220 and LP all use the same interface and connect with M10 screws. Blok recommends a maximum total height of 1100 mm – within that limit, you decide which level goes where.

Can the level handle the weight of a full row of records?

Yes. It's rated for 40 kg per level, and a tightly packed row of LPs at this width doesn't come close to that on the scale. What matters more is that the stack stands properly aligned – the adjustable feet on the Base Module take care of that.

How light is ash natural/satin white, really?

It's the lightest combination in the series: natural ash veneer with visible grain, paired with silky-matte white supports. Next to black electronics that gives a clear contrast; in a bright room, the furniture instead reads as almost understated. We can show you a sample on request.
