The Atlantis Lab AT31 is a 3-way floorstanding speaker with a horn tweeter and a 31 cm bass driver, built for large rooms and high levels with 101 dB sensitivity and 30 Hz low-end extension.

The French manufacturer Atlantis Lab was founded in 1998 by Eric Buy and relies on drivers from Eighteen Sound. The AT31 is one of the big towers of the range: 1.22 metres tall and 55 kg heavy, each.

Why the AT31?

Three ways, each with its own driver: a 1-inch compression driver (polypropylene, neodymium) in the horn handles the highs, a 16 cm paper driver the mids, and in the bass a 31 cm neodymium paper driver on the front and a 26 cm paper driver with a ferrite magnet on the back do the work. The bass reflex port is adjustable, 10.3 cm at the factory, alternatively 12.3 cm. With 101 dB sensitivity the reserve is large: if you want a lot of level you get it, and if you only listen quietly you notice the reserve as effortlessness.
