Collection: AUDIO ANALOGUE

Audio Analogue is an Italian high-end manufacturer from Monsummano Terme in Tuscany, building amplifiers, CD transports and digital-to-analog converters since 1995. Since 2013 the flagship lines have been made in the laboratories of AIRTECH, the company of co-founder Claudio Bertini. Everything is hand-built in Italy; the cases stay understated, the effort goes on the inside.

Which line suits you?

If you're after an Italian integrated amplifier, you'll land on one of three families. The PureAA series is the seriously-meant sonic entry point: the AACento as integrated amplifier, the AA100DM as a stereo power amp, the AADrive as CD transport, the AAPhono as phono stage, the AADac as converter. The Anniversary line carries on the historic names, with the Puccini and Maestro as integrated amplifiers, the Bellini as preamplifier and the Donizetti as power amp. The ABsolute line is the house's reference, with an integrated amplifier, a preamplifier, and stereo and mono power amps.

Puccini or Maestro? The Puccini is the more compact entry point, the Maestro the step above and the better choice for bigger rooms and more demanding speakers. If you already have a power amp, you enter through the Bellini or the ABsolute preamp. For the AA100DM and the Donizetti there are AIRTECH upgrade kits, so a good unit doesn't have to become a new unit right away.

Frequently asked questions

Integrated amplifier or separate pre- and power amp?

For most systems, an integrated amplifier like the AACento, Puccini or Maestro is enough. Separate pre- and power amps pay off if you specifically want more headroom and freedom to expand. We'll tell you honestly at what point the extra effort actually makes a difference in your chain.

What does RR stand for on the Maestro and ABsolute?

RR refers to a volume control using relays and precision resistors instead of a classic potentiometer, matched channel-to-channel and clean in the signal path. Whether the extra effort is worth it for your chain depends on your speakers and room. We clarify that with you beforehand, not afterwards.
