Argon Audio CD1 CD Player, Black (Each)

The Argon Audio CD1 brings the CD back into modern systems: a dedicated, compact CD player with a high-quality ESS converter, digital and analogue outputs, and a remote control. In its black housing, it visually matches the SA1 MK2 and SA2 from the same series.

Why the CD1?

The ESS ES9023 converter keeps distortion and noise low (THD+N < 0.007%) and delivers a clean analogue output at 2 Vrms. If you'd rather convert externally, use the optical or coaxial digital output instead to feed your own DAC or an amplifier with a digital input. Auto-on/standby and a dimmable display round off everyday usability.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect the CD1 to an external DAC?

Yes. Via the coaxial or optical digital output you pass the signal unchanged to an external converter or an amplifier with a digital input – handy if you already own a high-quality DAC.

Which CD formats does the CD1 play?

The CD1 is designed for standard audio CDs. The manufacturer makes no binding statements about self-burned CD-R/RW discs or MP3 CDs – if you have questions about a specific disc, feel free to ask us.

Why buy the CD1 from HD Zürisee?

Because we'll show you how the CD1 fits optimally into your existing system – whether as a pure transport feeding an external DAC or connected directly to an amplifier. Call us on +41 44 680 22 00, email shop@hdzuerisee.ch, or reach us on WhatsApp 076 534 22 00 (text only, no calls).

Goes well with

An amplifier with a digital input or active speakers from the Argon Audio range pair well with this.
