The Blok Stax 2G Module 220 is a build-up level for the modular Stax 2G rack system with 220 mm of usable height, in black-stained ash with supports in natural walnut.
It isn't a stand-alone rack but a level: you place it on an existing Stax 2G Base Module and build your tower exactly as tall as your components demand. The material mix of dark ash and warm walnut cuts a good figure even when the system is switched off.
Why the Module 220?
220 mm is the most generous level below the LP module. It's meant for the components that outgrow 170 mm: AV receivers with cooling fins, tube amplifiers, tall power supplies, or a turntable whose lid should be allowed to stay open. Instead of buying a standard rack and improvising afterwards, you choose the height per level.
What you get
Every level rests on silicone isolation pads whose grooves fit over the connecting bolts of the level below – vibrations stay where they start, and the build remains bolted together and tip-proof all the same. The side supports are hollow and can be filled with about three litres of inert damping material through concealed plugs. Anyone who gives their rack that extra mass notices it most under a turntable.
Who is the Module 220 for?
For anyone who already owns a Stax 2G or is planning one and needs to house at least one tall component. Straight talk: if you're only stacking slim streamers and slim-line players, you're wasting build height here – 120 or 170 mm is the smarter choice. Anyone buying this module as a starting point is also left without a Base Module, since feet, spikes and tools come exclusively with that. And the finish should match the existing rack, or the tower turns into a colour sample board.
Our verdict
The Module 220 is the level that turns an attractive piece of furniture into the right one. Cleanly made, consistently decoupled, and in this combination pleasantly homely rather than technical. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, we plan out your tower in advance – so you don't end up ordering one level too few. That's the single most common mistake with modular racks.

Frequently asked questions
How tall can my component be on the Module 220?
220 mm of usable height is available, at 480 mm width and 379 mm depth. Add one to two centimetres of clearance to the component height for ventilation and connectors. That comfortably fits AV receivers, tall tube amplifiers and most turntables with a lid.
What does the Module 220 sit on?
On a Blok Stax 2G Base Module or on an existing Stax 2G level. Four M10 bolts connect the modules, and the silicone pads' grooves fit over the bolt heads. Blok recommends a maximum total height of 1100 mm for the finished tower.
How much weight does a level carry?
40 kilograms per level, the same for every Stax 2G module. That puts you on the safe side with practically every integrated amplifier, power amp and turntable. The module itself weighs 5.8 kilograms; the hollow supports additionally hold about three litres of damping material.
Can I mix different module heights?
Yes, that's exactly what the system is built for. You can freely combine 120, 170, 220 and LP on top of each other, as long as the finish stays the same. That way every component gets the height it needs, instead of everything having to make do with the same standard spacing.
Why buy the Blok Stax 2G Module 220 from HD Zürisee?
Because we work out your tower with you before you order: component heights, cable runs, flooring, total height. Our experienced team in Wädenswil has been in the industry for decades and will also tell you when one level fewer is enough. Call us or write to us on WhatsApp.
Goes well with
The Module 220 requires a Stax 2G Base Module in Ash Black/Walnut – that's where the feet, spikes and tools come with. For slim components, add the Module 120; for amplifiers and players, the Module 170; for your record collection, the Module LP. You'll find the whole series and finished towers under Blok and HiFi racks. And what goes on top: turntables, CD players, integrated amplifiers and streamers & network players.
