Yamaha YHT-4960 – complete 5.1 home cinema set

The YHT-4960 is the turnkey home cinema: the TSR-400 AV receiver and the NS-P41 5.1 speaker set in one package. Unbox, connect, enjoy surround sound – no need to piece together individual components.

What's inside

The TSR-400 is a 5.2-channel AV receiver with MusicCast, Bluetooth and HDMI with 4K/8K support; the NS-P41 provides the five speakers plus subwoofer. Receiver and speakers are matched to each other – a coherent overall system instead of a DIY solution.

Connectivity

Thanks to MusicCast you can stream music from your phone or the network and integrate the home cinema into a multi-room system. Bluetooth and DAB+ are also on board.

Straight talk – what you should know

The YHT-4960 is an entry-level complete set: unbeatably practical and attractively priced, but not a high-end home cinema. The compact satellites sound clean but don't replace large floorstanding speakers, and the subwoofer eventually hits its limits in a large room. If you want an uncomplicated, affordable way into 5.1 surround, you get everything from a single source here.
