The Yamaha TT-N503 (MusicCast Vinyl 500) is a belt-drive turntable with a built-in network: stream vinyl wirelessly to other rooms via MusicCast – and, the other way round, bring streaming services into your existing system through the turntable. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect are on board.
Mechanically it relies on a die-cast aluminium platter, a straight tonearm and a pre-mounted MM cartridge. The built-in, switchable phono preamp delivers phono or line level via RCA – plus the wireless network path with no cable to the amplifier at all.
Straight talk
The TT-N503 is the right deck if you want to integrate vinyl into MusicCast multiroom or send it wirelessly to another room – hardly any other turntable can do that. If it's purely about the last bit of analogue sound quality per franc, classic decks without a network (e.g. Rega or Pro-Ject) give you mechanically more for your money. You only get the full feature set together with the MusicCast app.

Do I strictly need Wi-Fi and the app?
