Yamaha SR-B30A – Dolby Atmos soundbar with built-in subwoofers
The SR-B30A is the easy soundbar for better TV sound without an extra box in the room: two built-in subwoofers give it a foundation, and Dolby Atmos plus virtual 3D surround add spaciousness – all from a single bar under the TV.
Sound & features
Via Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X, the SR-B30A creates a spacious soundstage without ceiling speakers. Clear Voice brings out dialogue, the Game Mode optimizes sound for gaming, and Bass Extension pulls more depth from the built-in subwoofers. Anyone who later wants more punch can add an active sub like the NS-SW050 via the subwoofer output.
Connection & placement
Connect via HDMI eARC – one cable to the TV, volume controlled from the TV remote – or optically. Music streams via Bluetooth from your phone. The flat bar fits in front of most TVs or on the wall.
Straight talk – what you should know
Virtual Atmos is a clever effect, but no substitute for real ceiling speakers – it widens the soundstage without truly making sound come from above. For noticeable low-end bass in a larger room, you'll eventually want the optional subwoofer. As an honest one-box TV sound upgrade, the SR-B30A does exactly the right thing.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an additional subwoofer?
Not necessarily – the SR-B30A has two built-in subwoofers. For more low-end bass, you can add an active sub via the subwoofer output.
Is it real Dolby Atmos with height?
The SR-B30A creates Atmos and surround virtually through sound processing, without ceiling speakers. That widens the soundstage but doesn't replace real height speakers.
How do I connect it to the TV?
Easiest via HDMI eARC – one cable, and you control volume with the TV remote. Optical is an alternative.
Why buy the SR-B30A at HD Zürisee?
Because we'll tell you honestly what virtual Atmos can and can't do – a soundbar doesn't replace ceiling speakers, but it sounds noticeably better than the TV alone. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we also advise on whether and when the optional subwoofer is worth it for you.
