Yamaha NS-SW200 – compact active subwoofer in piano lacquer
The NS-SW200 combines Yamaha's bass technology with an elegant piano-lacquer finish. Despite its compact 20 cm build, it delivers a surprisingly deep, controlled foundation thanks to 130 W and Advanced YST II – a subwoofer that fits a well-kept living room both sonically and visually.
Technology & bass
The 20 cm driver works with Advanced YST II and the Twisted Flare Port together: clean, defined low-end bass without port noise, even when it gets louder. The piano-lacquer finish turns it into a piece of furniture rather than a black box.
Placement & controls
Front-firing for flexible placement. You adjust volume, crossover frequency and phase directly on the unit and tune the sub to your room and main speakers.
Straight talk – what you should know
A 20 cm driver means deep and precise, but not the maximum-level powerhouse for large rooms – that's what the NS-SW300 is for, with 25 cm and 250 W. The piano lacquer looks great but shows dust and fingerprints. For music and refined home cinema in normal-sized rooms, the 200 is exactly right.

Is the NS-SW200 enough for home cinema?
Yes, for small to medium home cinemas. For large rooms and maximum low-end pressure, we recommend the NS-SW300.
What colors is it available in?
In piano lacquer black and white.
