Yamaha NS-SW100 – active subwoofer with 25 cm driver
The NS-SW100 is the bigger brother of the NS-SW050: same easy-going character, but with a 25 cm driver and more displacement volume. That lets it confidently fill medium-sized living rooms with low-end bass – both as a stereo complement and for home cinema.
Technology & bass
The 25 cm cone is driven by Yamaha's Advanced YST II, which matches amplifier and cabinet to each other. The Twisted Flare Port smooths airflow at the reflex channel and keeps the bass clean rather than boomy, even at higher levels.
Placement
Front-firing, so it can be placed near a wall or in a niche. Volume, crossover frequency and phase are adjustable.

The NS-SW100 is the sensible middle ground: more headroom than the 050, but not a deep-bass monster for large home cinemas. Anyone who wants piano-lacquer looks and even more level should look at the NS-SW200/300. For most living rooms, the 100 hits the right spot.
