Yamaha NS-C444 – center speaker from the EF series
The NS-C444 is the center speaker of the EF series and the heart of every home cinema set: it anchors dialogue in sync with the picture right under the TV, delivering clear, intelligible speech. Ideally combined with NS-555/777 fronts and NS-333 surrounds.
Sound & drivers
Two 13 cm PMD woofers (Polymer Mica) flank a 2.5 cm tweeter with waveguide (D'Appolito-style arrangement). This gives wide, even dispersion across the whole sofa – not just for the listener in the middle.
Sealed cabinet
Like the NS-333, the center works as a sealed system – precise and clean, with easy placement directly under or above the TV.
Straight talk – what you should know
The NS-C444 is bought as a single unit (one center, not a pair). For a coherent sound picture, front and surround speakers should ideally come from the same EF series. Piano lacquer needs regular care.
