The Yamaha NS-AW194 is a compact 2-way outdoor speaker for anyone who wants to bring their sound out onto the terrace, balcony or bathroom – without the electronics suffering from the weather. It's supplied as a pair including a swivel bracket.
A 10 cm woofer with a waterproof cone provides surprisingly punchy mids and bass, while the 2.5 cm dome delivers clear highs. The housing is drip-, splash- and UV-resistant (IPx3), the metal grille powder-coated. So the sound stays clean even after a few seasons outdoors.
Straight talk
The NS-AW194 is the smallest model in the AW range – it isn't meant for a large terrace or sound coverage over long distances. But it's ideal for background music in a manageable area, in the bathroom, or as a discreet second zone. "Weatherproof" means mounted with protection (e.g. under an eave), not left exposed to constant rain.

Frequently asked questions
Can the NS-AW194 be left in constant rain?
It's weatherproof to IPx3, meaning it's protected against drip and splash water. We recommend mounting it under an eave or otherwise protected – not left freely exposed to constant rain or standing water.
Which amplifier fits it?
Any stereo or AV amplifier rated for 8 Ω. For an outdoor zone, devices with a switchable second-speaker output (zone B) are a good fit. We're happy to advise you.
Can I also use it indoors?
Yes. Thanks to its rugged build, the bathroom, kitchen or hobby room are ideal locations too.
Why buy the NS-AW194 from HD Zürisee?
Because we'll show you whether the compact NS-AW194 is enough for your terrace or whether a larger AW model brings more level. We also advise on the right, protected mounting – experience with outdoor sound is available first-hand at HD Zürisee in Wädenswil.
