Yamaha NS-600A – compact 2-way bookshelf speaker from the flagship series
The NS-600A is the smaller bookshelf speaker in the series alongside the NS-2000A and NS-800A. Same diaphragm and cabinet philosophy, just more compact – for anyone who wants real high-end sound in a smaller space (and at the series' most affordable price).
Sound & drivers
A 13 cm woofer with "Harmonious Diaphragm" (ZYLON + spruce) and a 3 cm dome tweeter with R.S. Chamber. The same diaphragm technology as in its bigger siblings delivers a coherent, natural tonal character with no audible transitions.
Twisted Flare Port & premium parts
The Twisted Flare Port channels airflow at the reflex tube in a controlled way and keeps the bass clean and precise. Mundorf capacitors work in the crossover, and the finish is genuine piano lacquer.
Straight talk – what you should know
The 13 cm woofer reaches its low-end limit earlier than the NS-800A – below around 47 Hz it gets thin. That's ideal in smaller rooms; for large rooms or home-cinema punch, a subwoofer belongs in the mix. Like any bookshelf speaker, it wants a stable stand at ear height (a good match: Yamaha SPS-800A), and the piano lacquer shows dust and fingerprints.
