Yamaha NS-333 – compact 2-way bookshelf speaker from the EF series
The NS-333 is the compact bookshelf speaker of the EF series – versatile as a stereo pair in a small room, on a sideboard, or as a surround speaker in home cinema. It fits perfectly into a complete EF set with the NS-C444 center and NS-555/777 fronts.
Sound & drivers
A 13 cm PMD woofer (Polymer Mica) meets a 2.5 cm aluminum dome tweeter with waveguide. The waveguide focuses the highs and minimizes room reflections. The result is a balanced, clean reproduction.
Sealed cabinet
The NS-333 works as a sealed system (acoustic suspension) rather than bass reflex. That gives precise, tight bass and easy placement – even closer to the wall.
Straight talk – what you should know
Sealed means precise, but less low-end bass than an equally sized bass reflex system. In larger rooms a subwoofer is worthwhile. The NS-333 is a solid all-rounder from the proven EF series, not current high-end. Piano lacquer needs regular care.

Yes, it works well as a surround speaker and fits into the EF set with the NS-C444 and NS-555/777.
Why does the NS-333 have less low-end bass?
