The Vincent Speaker Cable Single-Wire is a pre-terminated speaker cable made of OFC copper, with connectors that can be swapped between spade and banana plug.
Between amplifier and speaker lies the final stretch of the signal chain – and, of all places, that's where an astonishing number of systems still have the bundled cable from the hardware store. Let's be honest: that's worth changing.
Why the Vincent Single-Wire?
The idea behind it is down-to-earth. A decent conductor cross-section of oxygen-free OFC copper, cleanly terminated, ready to connect. No stripping, no twisting, no strands loosening in the terminal over the years.
The real highlight is the interchangeable connectors: spade or banana, depending on what your amplifier and speakers offer. You decide at the device, not at purchase – and if your next speakers have different terminals, the cable is still in the race.
What you get
A pre-terminated pair in four lengths, from 2× 1.5 m for close placement up to 2× 5 m, when the speakers stand far apart or the amplifier sits off to the side.
Important: use the same length for both sides, even if one speaker is closer. The extra metre can happily coil up behind the sideboard – what matters is that both channels see the same distance.
Who is the Single-Wire suited to?
For anyone with standard speaker terminals, i.e. one connection pair per speaker – which is the large majority. Anyone building a solid system – say, a Vincent SV-237 MK II with a pair of floorstanding speakers – gets a clean connection here without excess price.
To be blunt: if your speaker has two connection pairs and you actually want to run bi-wiring, you need the bi-wire version. And anyone wanting to spend more on the cable than on the amplifier is definitely in the wrong place here – there are other addresses for that.
Our verdict
The cable you recommend without much deliberation. It noticeably lifts the connection above hardware-store level, is decently made, and doesn't cost the earth. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, it's one of the cables we install most often ourselves.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between single-wire and bi-wire?
Single-wire runs one cable pair per speaker and connects to one pair of terminals. Bi-wire splits the tweeter and woofer sections onto two separate conductor pairs and requires speakers with two connection pairs. If your speaker has only one terminal, single-wire is the correct and only choice.
Which length do I need?
Measure the longer of the two runs and use that length for both sides. Cables of different lengths on the left and right make barely any audible difference, but they're unnecessary. A bit of slack never hurts – a cable under tension pulls on the terminal.
Spade or banana plug – which should I choose?
That depends on your devices. Bananas plug in faster and are more practical day to day. Spades offer more contact area and sit rock solid. With the Vincent, both are included and interchangeable, so you don't need to commit at purchase.
Does the cable fit any amplifier?
Yes, as long as the amplifier has standard screw terminals or banana sockets – so practically always. Brand doesn't matter. Only with devices that have unusual terminals is a quick check worthwhile beforehand, and we're happy to sort that out together.
Why buy the Vincent speaker cable from HD Zürisee?
Because we tell you which length and which connector suit your room and your devices – and where extra budget achieves more than spending it on the cable. We've been putting together systems for decades. Get in touch by phone, email or WhatsApp.
