Frequently Asked Questions
Which plug do I need in Switzerland?
The Switzerland Type J to C15 version. Type J is the three-pin Swiss mains plug, C15 the appliance socket that fits the C14 built-in connectors on most hi-fi devices. You only need the EU Schuko version if you're operating from a Schuko power strip or abroad in Europe.
Does the C15 end fit my device?
It fits any device with a C14 cold-appliance connector, which is the vast majority of amplifiers, players and streamers. C15 is the heat-resistant version of the same design and fits mechanically onto C14. If your device has the smaller C8 connector or the large C20 high-current socket, you'll need a different version.
Does a power cable make any difference at all?
Realistically, mainly shielding and solid contacts. The X-25 has continuous shielding, silver-plated OFC conductors and solid T6s connectors – that keeps interference away and ensures a firm, lasting fit. We don't promise you a sonic miracle, but clean and safe technology, definitely.
What lengths is the X-25 available in?
In 100 and 150 centimetres. Take the shorter one if your rack is close to the socket or power strip – with a shielded power cable, you want to avoid coiled excess length anyway. If 150 centimetres isn't enough, just get in touch and we'll look for a solution together.
Why buy the ViaBlue X-25 from HD Zürisee?
Because we clarify before ordering which plug belongs in your socket and which connector your device has. That saves a return. HD Zürisee in Wädenswil has been combining systems for almost three decades and also advises on power distribution in the rack. A call, email or WhatsApp message is enough.
