ViaBlue QTC Spikes (Set of 4)

The ViaBlue QTC Spikes are decoupling spikes that let speakers or components rest on a single small point instead of their whole footprint.

A spike reduces the contact area with the surface to a single point. Disruptive vibrations from the cabinet or chassis are bundled at that point instead of being transmitted broadly across the shelf, sideboard or floor – the surface can resonate and boom less. The four QTC Spikes in the set also come with generous 25-millimetre stainless steel washers that protect sensitive surfaces like parquet or lacquered furniture from the spike tip.

What you get

You get four spikes plus four protective washers that you can simply place under your speaker, turntable or amplifier without any screwing. The set suits components that have so far stood on soft rubber feet and noticeably resonate, as well as floor-standing speakers that tend to boom on a wooden floor.

No tools needed: the spikes are simply placed freestanding under the component's feet or housing, with the included stainless steel washers underneath to protect the floor. No screwing is needed with this version.

What are the stainless steel washers for?

They spread the point pressure of the spike tip over a larger area, protecting parquet, laminate or lacquered furniture surfaces from pressure marks. On stone floors or sturdy floor plates you can also leave them off.

Do spikes make an audible difference?

They don't change the sound of the component itself, but reduce how much the surface underneath resonates. On a booming wooden floor or a thin shelf, the effect is often clearly noticeable; on a solid stone slab, hardly at all.

Do the QTC Spikes also fit under a turntable?
