The ViaBlue H-FLEX Mini-Toslink is an optical digital cable with Mini-Toslink connectors (3.5 mm jack form) on both ends – for devices that use the small, compact form instead of the large Toslink socket.

Laptops, portable DACs, some streaming bridges and compact digital sources increasingly rely on the mini socket. The H-FLEX Mini-Toslink connects two such devices directly, without an adapter at either end.

Why the H-FLEX Mini-Toslink?

Because two adapters on a short optical run are unnecessary weak points. A continuous cable with the right connector at each end is the cleaner solution.

What you get

A fully terminated fibre-optic cable with Mini-Toslink connectors on both ends, including the galvanic isolation that every optical connection provides – no hum loops between devices.

Who is the H-FLEX Mini-Toslink suitable for?

For anyone who wants to connect two devices with a Mini-Toslink socket directly, such as a laptop and a portable DAC, or two compact digital sources. Plain talk: if one of the two devices has a standard Toslink socket, you need the combined Toslink/Mini-Toslink version from the same series instead.

Our verdict

A specialised but cleanly solved cable for a socket type that's becoming more and more common in compact devices. At HD Zürisee, we quickly clarify the connections on your devices with you.

Frequently asked questions

Which devices have a Mini-Toslink socket?
Mainly laptops, portable DACs, some streaming bridges and compact digital sources. It looks like a 3.5 mm jack socket but transmits optically.

Can I use it to connect a Toslink device too?
Not directly – for that mix, there's the Toslink/Mini-Toslink version from the same H-FLEX series. This cable is Mini-Toslink on both ends.

Which length and colour suits me?
Measure the actual cable run and choose the next-longer standard length. Cobra matches the braided design of the other ViaBlue cables, Black is more discreet.

What should I watch out for when routing it?
A generous bend radius – fibre optics tolerate tight kinks noticeably less well than copper cables.

Why buy the ViaBlue H-FLEX at HD Zürisee?
Because we clarify with you which socket sits on which device before you order – easy to mix up especially with the smaller formats. HD Zürisee in Wädenswil advises by phone, WhatsApp or email.
