The Sonox Q30 is a compact 2-way bookshelf speaker with a sealed cabinet that delivers precise, surprisingly punchy bass even on a shelf or close to a wall.

Why the Sonox Q30?

Instead of a bass-reflex port, the Q30 relies on a sealed "acoustic suspension" cabinet. That means deep, dry bass without the boominess that otherwise likes to appear close to a wall – so you can place the speaker on a shelf or near the wall without a second thought. ROWEN's 18 mm fabric-dome tweeter resolves finely, while a fast, wideband bass/mid system underneath handles clean spatial imaging.

What you hear

A sound that feels bigger than the box: clear voices, a natural timbre and bass down to 45 Hz that has kick instead of booming. Just as good for music as for movie night. The oak finish also brings a warm, homely touch to the room.

Who is the Sonox Q30 suited for?

For anyone who wants genuine hi-fi sound from a compact, easy-to-place box – especially if a shelf or wall is the only spot available. Plain talk: the Q30 is a passive speaker, so you'll need an amplifier as well. And this compact design won't deliver concert-hall levels for a 60 m² loft – for that, there's the larger Q80 or the X series.
