Sonoro Maestro Quantum Signature, White Matte

The Sonoro Maestro Quantum Signature is a Hi-Res audio internet receiver that combines an integrated amplifier, network streaming, CD drive and digital radio in a single housing. It's the centrepiece of the sonoro Signature Line – the more finely tuned evolution of the proven Maestro Quantum, reworked with industry icon Rainer Finck.

Why the Maestro Quantum Signature?

Because it replaces almost everything that would otherwise sit separately in the rack – without swallowing any compromises in sound. The amplifier section (Hypex Class-D, 2 × 180 watts into 4 ohms) drives even demanding floorstanding speakers with authority. The new True Fidelity mode switches off everything the signal path doesn't strictly need – music as direct as possible. And the in-house PureGain volume control noticeably lowers the noise floor compared with typical digital controls. In short: lots of technology, little talk.

What you hear and get

A complete system in one box. You stream in Hi-Res via Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music or Deezer, via AirPlay and Google Cast – and since we've been a Qobuz Hi-Fi partner since 2018, we can advise you on the right service too. Add to that a slot-in CD drive, FM/DAB+ and internet radio, an MM phono stage for your turntable and HDMI (ARC) for the TV. The included Dirac Live licence measures your room and irons out acoustic quirks. Via sonoro Multiroom, up to 32 rooms can later be played simultaneously. It's Roon Ready on top of that.

Who is the Maestro Quantum Signature suited for – and who isn't it for?

For anyone who wants a full-fledged, tidy system while still having audiophile ambitions – ideal as the driving force for the Orchestra Shaped Signature. Streaming subscriptions are an option here, not a must: CD, radio, vinyl and files from the network all work perfectly well without any subscription. Straight talk: if you're only after a kitchen radio, this is too much device. And you still need speakers – the receiver brings the amplifier section, not the speakers.

Frequently asked questions

Do I still need speakers for the Maestro Quantum Signature?

Yes. The Maestro Quantum Signature is a receiver with a built-in amplifier (2 × 180 W into 4 Ω), but no speakers of its own. You connect passive speakers with 4–16 Ω. The in-house pairing is the Orchestra Shaped Signature; we're happy to advise you on the right match.

Does it also work without a streaming subscription?

Yes, without any problem. CD, FM/DAB+, internet radio, vinyl via the phono stage and files from your home network all run completely without a paid subscription. Streaming services like Qobuz or TIDAL are an option for more choice, but not a requirement for operation.

Can I use it with my TV?

Yes, via HDMI (ARC) with CEC. Power and volume then run through your TV remote (requires HDMI ARC/eARC on the TV). Alternatively, optical and coaxial digital inputs are available – turning the receiver into a hi-fi-grade TV sound centre.

What does the Dirac Live room correction do?

Dirac Live uses a microphone to measure how your room distorts the sound and corrects that in the 20–500 Hz range – where rooms cause the most trouble. The licence is included; the measurement microphone is available as an option. The result: cleaner, more even bass regardless of placement.

How does it differ from the regular Maestro Quantum?

The Signature is based on the Maestro Quantum but has been sonically reworked with Rainer Finck: optimised components, a new circuit design, True Fidelity mode and revised speaker terminals (identical to the Orchestra Shaped Signature). So it's the more finely tuned high-end version – its own model, not just a colour.

Why buy the Maestro Quantum Signature from HD Zürisee?

Because an all-in-one receiver is only as good as its integration – speaker matching, sources, multiroom, room calibration. That's exactly where we come in, setting everything up for you if needed, with Mauri as our in-house technician. As an experienced team, we'll tell you honestly whether this solution suits you – or whether another one fits better.
