Hat der Sangean WFT-4 eingebaute Lautsprecher?

Nein. Der WFT-4 ist ein reiner Receiver ohne Lautsprecher. Er ist als Quelle gedacht und wird an einen Verstärker, Aktivlautsprecher oder Kopfhörerverstärker angeschlossen. Damit fügt er sich in eine bestehende Hi-Fi-Anlage ein, statt eine eigene mitzubringen.

Was bedeutet 2-Wege-Bluetooth?

Der WFT-4 kann Bluetooth empfangen und senden. Du streamst also vom Handy auf den Receiver, kannst aber genauso vom Receiver an Bluetooth-Kopfhörer oder eine Box senden. Dank aptX und aptX Adaptive bleibt die Klangqualität dabei spürbar besser als bei einfachem Bluetooth.

Brauche ich für den WFT-4 ein kostenpflichtiges Abo?

Nein. DAB+, UKW und Internetradio funktionieren ohne Abo. Streaming-Dienste wie Spotify oder Amazon Music lassen sich zusätzlich nutzen, wenn du dort ohnehin Kunde bist – Pflicht ist das nicht.

The Sangean WFT-4 is a standard-width (43 cm) tuner and network receiver that combines DAB+, FM, internet radio and two-way Bluetooth in a single component, ready to connect to an existing stereo system.

Why the WFT-4

Most digital radios come with their own small built-in speakers – and that's exactly where the fun stops for serious listeners. The WFT-4 does it differently: it's a pure source. No speaker, no compromise. You connect it to your amplifier, your active speakers or your headphone amp, and bring DAB+, FM and half the world's internet stations into a chain you've already built.

What makes it special is the two-way Bluetooth. The WFT-4 doesn't just receive Bluetooth from your phone – it also transmits, for example to Bluetooth headphones or a second speaker. With aptX and aptX Adaptive, the quality stays noticeably higher than you'd expect from Bluetooth.

What you hear

Over LAN or Wi-Fi, the whole catalogue opens up: internet radio from around the world, podcasts and – if you like – streaming via Spotify, Amazon Music or Deezer, controlled from the sofa with the UNDOK app. Locally, the WFT-4 receives DAB+ in full quality and FM with RDS for the stations that are still analogue.

On the 4-inch colour display you see station name, title and cover logo instead of a cryptic frequency readout. Through the optical and coaxial digital output you pass the signal cleanly to an external DAC or AV receiver – analogue output runs the classic way via line-out.

Who it's for – plain talk

The WFT-4 is for you if you already have an amplifier and speakers and just need a versatile, good-sounding source.
