The Revival Audio Atalante Grande Réserve is the limited flagship of the Atalante series: a 3-way reference speaker in a compact stand-mount format, limited worldwide to 300 numbered pairs and delivered as a complete system including its own oak stands. It premiered at High End Munich 2025 – designed in Alsace by a team with roots at Dynaudio and Focal, drawn by the Parisian studio A+A Cooren and crafted exclusively in warm Smoked Oak real wood veneer.

Why the Atalante Grande Réserve?

The name comes from the world of cognac and champagne, where it denotes the rarest vintage – and that's exactly how this edition is meant. Inside, the refined RASC Évo drivers of the Atalante 7 Évo meet a newly developed 12-inch BSC woofer with a four-layer voice coil and long throw. The front is a StrataBaffle: a three-layer construction of around 6 kilograms, whose bevelled edges reduce diffraction effects and calm the sound image. In the signal path sits a hand-tuned crossover with Mundorf Supreme components, WBT terminals and Van den Hul Skyline wiring. Every pair carries a numbered aluminium plate – a genuine collector's piece.

What you hear

Power and finesse at once. Where many large speakers act like a sledgehammer, the Grande Réserve resembles a scalpel with a massive foundation. The bass reaches down to 26 Hz while staying articulate and controlled at all times; voices and instruments stand in the room with tangible naturalness, the highs resolve silkily and without harshness. The imaging is precise and holographic – the kind of reproduction that carries a whole evening without ever becoming tiring.

Who is the Atalante Grande Réserve suited for?

For listeners who want a reference flagship in elegant, living-room-friendly proportions – and for collectors who appreciate something special. Ideal in rooms of 30 to 65 square metres. Straight talk: at 46 kilograms per side (incl. stand), setting it up is a workout for two. And if you're after maximum deep-bass power in a very large room, the 15-inch driver of the Atalante 7 Évo digs a little deeper still – the Grande Réserve deliberately focuses on refinement, premium components and rarity rather than sheer size.

Our verdict

The Grande Réserve distils everything the Atalante series stands for into a limited, thoughtful whole: Évo drivers, a new 12-inch bass, StrataBaffle, premium components – and a finish that combines restraint and luxury. It's not a loud statement, but a quiet one: a numbered reference system for people seeking the finest. We in Wädenswil see it as the series' full stop – in the best sense.

What the press says: Reference class, 5/5 stars – "With the ATALANTE Grande Réserve, Revival Audio delivers a technologically uncompromising statement." (hifitest 6/2026).

Frequently asked questions

What sets the Grande Réserve apart from the Atalante 5 and 7 Évo?
It uses the RASC Évo drivers of the 7 Évo and a newly developed 12-inch bass in the compact format of the Atalante 5, plus the StrataBaffle front and premium components from Mundorf, WBT and van den Hul. As a limited, numbered edition, it's the refined pinnacle of the series.

How rare is the Atalante Grande Réserve?
Limited to 300 numbered pairs worldwide. Each unit carries an individually engraved aluminium plate on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity. That makes it special not just sonically but also as a collector's item. Availability is best confirmed directly with us.

What amplifier suits the Grande Réserve?
Thanks to 89 dB sensitivity it already plays well from 30 to 50 watts, and it can handle up to 200 watts. The 4-ohm load (minimum 3.2 ohms) likes a load-stable amplifier. Thanks to the high-grade crossover, it rewards a quality source and power amp with audibly more finesse.

Are the stands included?
Yes. The Grande Réserve is delivered as a complete system including the specially made oak stands – with a laser-engraved base plate and a decoupling interface between speaker and stand. They're matched exactly to the speaker both visually and acoustically; a separate stand isn't needed.
