The Revival Audio Atalante 7 Évo is the flagship of the Atalante series: a large 3-way floorstander with a 38 cm basalt woofer that plays at listening height on its own Smart Isolation stand. "Évo" stands for the manufacturer's latest driver generation from Alsace – designed by a team with roots at Dynaudio and Focal, in dark Ebony real wood veneer, with golden-ratio proportions from the Parisian studio A+A Cooren.

Why the Atalante 7 Évo?

At its centre is a 38 cm (15") woofer with basalt sandwich cone (BSC) and a 3-inch voice coil. With bass, displacement can't be substituted – and 38 centimetres is a lot of displacement. It reaches down to 23 Hz while staying fundamental and dry rather than bloated. Above it, the new Évo drivers work: a 75 mm RASC Évo midrange dome with ARID Plus and dual suspension for embodied voices, plus a 28 mm RASC Évo tweeter with neodymium drive for silky, fatigue-free highs. The front-firing AeroVex port with aluminium flange ensures clean, turbulence-free bass output. None of this is off-the-shelf: Revival builds its own drivers.

What you hear

Effortless scale. The Atalante 7 Évo plays with a composure and calm that smaller speakers simply can't reach – and once it gets going, there's really only one thing left to do: grin. The bass is physically felt but controlled; voices and instruments stand vivid and tangible in the room; the highs resolve finely without ever turning harsh. It makes big music big – live recordings, orchestras, dynamic productions – and stays composed even at elevated levels. With 90 dB sensitivity, it's surprisingly easy to satisfy.

Who is the Atalante 7 Évo suited for?

For large rooms from around 35 square metres and for listeners who want a real statement – sonically as well as visually. Straight talk: this is no casual speaker. What amplifier suits the Atalante 7 Évo?
Thanks to 90 dB sensitivity and a benign 6-ohm load (minimum 4.4 ohms), it works well with many amplifiers. From around 50 watts it plays with authority, but tolerates up to 300 watts. For full control over the 38 cm woofer, we recommend a powerful, load-stable integrated amplifier or a pre/power combination.

How deep does the bass of the Atalante 7 Évo go?
Down to 23 Hz – deep bass you can physically feel. The 38 cm basalt woofer with 3-inch voice coil delivers it fundamental and dry rather than mushy. For that to translate into the room, it needs floor space: from around 35 square metres it can show its full potential.

How big should the room be for the Atalante 7 Évo?
Ideally 35 to 80 square metres. In that range the large soundstage spreads freely without acoustically overloading the room. It needs distance from the walls and doesn't belong in a corner – in rooms that are too small you give away its potential.

Is the stand included with the Atalante 7 Évo?
Yes. The matching Smart Isolation stand is part of the delivery and comes in the same finish as the speaker.
