The Rega Neo PSU MK2 is an external motor controller that supplies your Rega turntable with a digitally generated, clean sine-wave voltage and switches speed electronically.

Does the Neo PSU MK2 fit my Planar 3?
Yes, it fits all Rega models with a 24-volt motor connection (round socket on the back), including the current Planar 3. On the Planar 6, this technology is already included as standard, so you don't need it there.

Do I need to stop the turntable to switch speed?
No. You switch between 33 and 45 rpm while it's running. The processor ramps the frequency up or down smoothly, which is gentle on the motor and belt – a noticeable comfort gain over manually moving the belt.

How is the Neo PSU connected?
Very simply: the included connecting cable goes into the socket on your turntable, and the supplied plug-in power supply goes into the wall outlet. No modification to the turntable's housing is needed.
