Rega System One Complete HiFi System (Set)

The Rega System One is a turnkey complete HiFi system that combines the Planar 1 turntable, the io integrated amplifier and the Kyte bookshelf speakers into one perfectly matched set. Unbox, set up, connect – and a fully-fledged vinyl system stands in your living room straight from one box, without you having to hunt down components yourself.

Why the System One?

Because everything here comes from a single source and fits together exactly. The Planar 1 with hand-built RB110 tonearm and factory-fitted Rega Carbon cartridge delivers the music, the io integrated amplifier with built-in MM phono stage amplifies it using the same circuit philosophy as Rega's bigger amplifiers, and the Kyte bookshelf speakers with their rigid phenolic-resin cabinets place it cleanly in the room. Even the speaker cables are included – there are no hidden extra costs.

What you'll hear

A lively, honest vinyl sound with Rega's typical timing: bass taut and precise, vocals tangible, a flow that invites you to keep listening. We set the system up ourselves in Wädenswil, and what stands out is the effortlessness – nothing sounds like a compromise, even though it's a compact system. It plays to its strengths especially in small to medium-sized rooms.

Who is the System One for? (and who it isn't – straight talk)

Ideal for anyone who wants an attractive, space-saving system that goes far beyond plastic all-in-one units sonically – and who doesn't want to wade through technical jargon. Straight talk: if you want to fill large rooms at party volume, or want to combine high-end individual components from the start, separate Rega components will serve you better. The System One is a connoisseur's set for the living room or music room, not a substitute for a club sound system.

Our verdict

The System One takes the hardest part of getting into HiFi off your hands: putting it together. Three components that know each other, a clean sound and setup in minutes. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil we recommend it to anyone who wants genuine British vinyl sound without first working through spec sheets.

Frequently asked questions

What's included in the Rega System One?

The set consists of the Rega Planar 1 turntable with fitted Carbon cartridge, the Rega io integrated amplifier with built-in phono stage, and a pair of Rega Kyte bookshelf speakers. Plus two three-metre speaker cables, remote control, mains cable and instruction manual – that's all you need.

Can I connect Bluetooth, a streamer or a CD player?

Yes. Besides the phono input, the io amplifier has two further line inputs (RCA). You can easily connect a Bluetooth adapter, a streamer or a CD player there. That way the system isn't limited to vinyl but grows with your sources.

Are all the cables included?

Yes. Rega includes two three-metre lengths of high-quality speaker cable, plus mains cable and remote control. You don't need to buy anything extra to start listening to music straight away – a rare convenience for HiFi sets in this class.

What room size suits the System One?

Best for small to medium-sized rooms – living rooms or music rooms. There, the compact Kyte speakers play in a balanced, deep way. For very large rooms or high volume levels we recommend larger floorstanding speakers and a more powerful amplifier – we're happy to advise you on that.

Why buy the Rega System One at HD Zürisee?

Because we know the set, set it up, and tune it to your room. We show you the ideal placement for the Kyte speakers, fit and align on request, and handle the warranty cleanly as an authorized dealer. Personal and honest, right here in Wädenswil on Lake Zurich.

Goes well with

Once your ears grow more demanding, a better cartridge or an upgrade to larger speakers is worthwhile later on. Find more from the line-up in our Rega components.
